i would check firewall settings if you have one. microsoft's firewall for win xp is notorious for this problem and so are some that come with commercially purchased virus protection.

Yahoo are messing around with stuff and treating us with no respect. They don't warn us of interruption of service we may experience so many of us waste time figuring it is our end that has gone wrong not that it originates with Yahoo.
But we are just free account holders why are we important.
yahoo are moving the furniture and redecorating Yahoo games and some people for a while cannot log on to games.
Be nice if they let us know in advance.

Internet explorer messes up big time sometimes try a diffrent browser www.opera.com or www.firefox.com

are you using mozilla? It does that to me too. Try it on Internet Explorer, should work just fine.
