Should the nations of the world take it upon themselves to stop the mass killings of people by governments? Ex., Sudan, Former Yugoslavia, etc.

It is our responsibility as citizens of the world. However, this does include putting a stop to abortion as well.

Morally speaking, yes, states should be concerned with stopping genocide, but politically speaking, states will not do so unless it is in their best interests to do so. Many people think that we did not intervene in Rwanda because of the political climate in the US following the failure in Somalia. Added to which, weaker states which commit these crimes often get off scot-free because they're aligned with more powerful states.
