Masons only talk about the businenesses of the organization. No politics or religion are discussed during stated meetings. There are rituals, signs and tokens used by Masons and these are the secrets that are protected. It is actually like, will you tell the world what happens in your bedroom between you and your wife?.
Go to any Masonic Lodge in your area and apply.
But before you do, be sure that you possess the following qualifications:
First, You must believe in God. You could belong to any religion or sect and you could be acceptable, but not as an atheist. An atheist is an absolute no no.
Secondly, you must be able to support yourself and your family.
Lastly, you must be of good moral character.

Freemasonry is not a secret society, but a society with secrets. If you look in your yellow pages you can find listings (often) for the fraternity under "fraternities". To join, you often need to ask a member how to join, which is usually denoted in the phrase 2B1Ask1. If you don't know a Mason, then all you need do is contact the local lodge and ask for a petition. I'm sure they would love to hear from you.

All I know is, that you have to be invited to join them. They are a secretive society and they raise a lot of money for charity. But there has been much bad publicity written about them too. Look on Ebay and see if you can get the book that has been written on the Masons. Type in Book on Masons
