when i don't move the mouse for a while it goes to sleep, and i turned off screen saver, how can i make it not go to sleep at all?, i have an hp media center computer but a E-machines monitor.

It has to do with your power settings. If you open your control panel, you should see an icon labelled "Power Options." Double-click on that to open it, and you should see a few options like "Turn off monitor," "Turn off hard disks," "System standby," and "System hibernates." If you set the dropdown menus next to them to "Never," your system won't go to sleep.

As per new government standards, even desktop computers have a power saver mode. You will need to go to the power management setting and set the time limit as high as possible. (An hour, two hours, whatever is the max.)

It is set up in a way where if you have not been active on it for a certain amount of time, it "goes to sleep", saving energy. You change the settings in Control Panel and then Settings.

right his desktop hit on properties hit on screen save / power .tab set it noit to turn off monitor / hard drive .. hit on apply & ok

right click destop empty space go to properties, then click on screensaver,at bottom look for power .click on power then always on then click apply close out then reboot
