I am 26 weeks pregnant and soo stressed out. I have been prone to anxiety attacks before I got pregnant but since I have been pregnant I havent had any....The last couple of days I get really short of breath, my vision goes kinda tunnel like, I get really jittery, my heart beats really fast and my nervousness either makes me have diarrhea or throw up and I am starting to lose my appetite.....Have any of you experienced anything like this?? If so, What was it and how did you deal with it?? It happens atleast 5 times a day....Is pregnancy anxiety attacks worse than normal ones?? Please, Im gonna ask my doc about this...but has anyone felt like this?? Its really freaking me out. Thanks

I also had what you are discribing. They went away when I hit about 36 weeks. They were a major pain in the you know what. I am pretty sure its horomones and blood pressure changes since you now have an increase in your usual amount of blood circulating your system. You can always ask your doctor about it if you want. Nothing helped me except for not being pregnant anymore. :D

well I know that u only want preganant women or mothers to answer, but I really want to help. from the looks of the symptoms you are having, your probably not having an anxiety attack, but the jittery parts, could meen that you are just nervous or stressed like you said
the whole thing could be part of stress
just every once in a while take a warm bubble bath
go to a spa
relax yourself
-hope it helps

I have the same problem. I take antidepressants to help level out my hormones. It helps a lot. They have some that are safe to take during pregnancy and while breastfeeding (if that is what you choose to do). I would talk to your doctor about it. (I have been diagnosed with panic disorder so it could be a panic attack.) Good luck and Congrats on the baby.

Wath ever you use to do before you were pregnant to calm your slef down...do it again. When i was pregnant i had to attend my final exam. o relaxe i slept a lot and talk to my firends and family....i was over using the phone even my husband was complaining about it, but for me talking was a way to calm me down. If u can take some prenatal class every thing to get your mind out. Dont stay alone...your doing well by chating and talking to peeople when ever you dont feel well.....

I had that too...hormonal surges are brutal.
Try meditation-sit for 5 minutes a day, with spine straight and clear your mind. It may not feel like it's working at first, but trust me, it is. Let thoughts come in and go out of your mind, and try to keep your mind as clear and blank as possible for at least 5 minutes.
And herbal teas help too! Try chamomile.....

People who have anxiety attacks are prone to them when they have a life changing event happening in their lives. But the strange thing about anxiety attacks is that they don't happen when you are thinking about your life, they happen when you are calm.
It sounds to me like this is what it happening to you.
