I just bought my ipod nano about a week or two ago. It's silver and is in excellent condition. I was thinking of selling it over ebay but I can't think of a good starting price and I wanted to know if ebay was really the best site to sell it on!

eBay is definitely the best site to sell it on. It has the most potential customers, so you'll likely get a very good price.

Start with a price of a dollar or $9.99. The key is to make your title descriptive and very searchable. If you search for iPod nano on eBay, if you look at the ones that are ending in the next couple of minutes, it will give you an idea of how much you should expect. Don't worry about your starting price or a reserve price. Setting one or both of those too high ultimately hurts you because people are less likely to bid on something that they're not even sure they can win, or if it already looks to expensive. Once they bid, if they get out-bid, it's likely that they'll go higher than they originally thought they would.

One more thing, if you don't have an eBay account already, then you won't have a feedback rating, and having a zero feedback makes your first auction a bit riskier for the buyer, so make sure you take lots of pictures to help show you're real.

eBay has more traffic, but Amazon.com might get you a better price. Start it low with a reserve price for what you want to at least recover. Get it up now because it is very close to Christmas and you might get a bidding war for the Nano.
