plain old Bicarbonate Soda is the answer to getting smells out of carpet, sprinkle the dry bi carb on the carpet quite thickly and leave overnight then vacuum off. Repeat if needed.

I assume the stain itself has been removed and you are left with just the odor? Sprinkle it very liberally, heavily in fact, with baking soda and let it sit overnight. Next day remove the excess and vacuum. You may need to repeat it a couple of times.
You could also check at a pet store. They sell a product called Nature's Miracle and that might work.

Rent a carpet cleaner!
But be careful, sometimes the rented ones can have residual crap in them from the last bit of puke someone else used them to clean up and that makes it worse.
If you have about $99 to spare... buy one new. It is an investment especially if you like to party!
