Give her 0.8 she should be just fine! Also remember that teething gel helps soothe the tooth. But when they fuss and don't sleep it is best to try tylenol to help kick the irritation. At least until she is able to fall asleep at night. Good luck.

After 3 children we have had best success with infant Motrin, the ibuprofen has always seemed to work best for teething pain in my own kids. Just follow the dosage on the package, it often seems like too much or not enough but the dosage it says has always worked for us. Also we usually gave it to them twice per day as ibuprofen does not build up in the liver like Tylenol. I would also suggest the "Baby Ora-Jel" for teething pain we usually gave it fifteen minutes or so before feeding and bedtimes just rub a little on the gums and it helped greatly. Hope this helps

If she is 23 pounds, give her .8 or if you are uncomfortable with the 1 pound difference, then give her .4. Either way a little is better then none, and 1 pound won't make that much of a difference.
You could try orajel to help, or teething tablets. They both work. I recommend teething tablets, because they just dissolve on the tongue, and taste sweet, and babies don't usually like orajel.

I would give her the 0.8, it will not hurt her. But I found out that when babies are teething, their gums do hurt some, but the main problem is that the ITCH!!! How weird, huh? But it is true. Try putting just a little dab of baby orajel on her gums. She will probably spit it right back out, but some will get to the area that is bothering her, and you will notice a difference in her within minutes.
I wish you the best.

go to walmart or walgreens and pick up some teether tablets. It comes in a little bottle with a a bunch of white little tablets in it. its all natural and they work. I'ts about $5 and you give them 1 or 2 under the tounge. if you really want to use the tylenol then suck up the tylenol so it's inbetween the .4 and the .8. That'll be around .6 and you'll be in the middle and be just fine, promise. good luck.

I give my 8 1/2 month old (who is 23 lbs) .8ml.
Orajel works wonders too. My son is cutting 4 teeth on top at the same time (hurts me to even look at them!) and Orajel seems to quiet him right down instantly. They even make a night time formula.

My doc said to give my little man, of the same age .6 -.8 ml. To be honest, I always give him the higher amoung of the two because he slobbers some if it out. She is only one pound away from that dosage and since its likely she wont eat all of it, .8ml sounds good.
I still give my son that amount every 4-6 hours like is says on the bottle. It's turned out to help a lot. I also give him teething tablets which are "homeopathic" and they seem to do well. I get them from Walmart.
Get her things to chew on and since she's nine months I'm sure she would enjoy the toast, cracker or cookie that are made as "teething" helpers. My little man has managed to munch on them pretty good, plus it teaches him how to eat.
Feel free to email me if you wish, I know of lots of places to get information. breathofvitality@yahoo.com

If this is the first time she has ever had baby tylenol, give her the 0.4 dose and watch her closely to make sure there is no negative reaction. If she's had it efore give her the full dose, since she's close to 24 pounds.

What your pediatrician said is identical to what my pediatrician told me.... and it worked, i used to give my son the tylenol at night to help him sleep peacefully. Try this website it will help you with the dosage, bearing in mind that the best thing is to give your baby 0.8 ( which is the maximum dose before 2 years, disregarding the weight....

What you can do is call an emergency room and ask them, the nurse there should be able to tell you.Try freezing a teething ring, the cold will numb the area. They also have baby orajel that works real well.
