Well, I got my first period a couple days ago. I know I will probably be irregular for about a year or so, but what are the odds of me having my next period on time. Because I started my first like on the 25 then 14 days later I got cramps then it went away the next day. I was thinking that that might have been ovulation. So, maybe I would get it on time. What do you think.

Congratulations! A good way to determine what your cycle will look like is to ask your females in your family (mom, sister or aunt). This would give you a better idea. Every woman & their family history is different, including yours. It might be fun for you to keep a record of when you bleed & you could see what your cycle will look like. :)

Congratulations on entering womanhood! My period was very regular as a teen. It's hard to say though what will happen with you cause every one is different. Ovulation is often irregular when you are a teen, even if menstruation is regular. Carry pantyliners or pads in your purse everyday so it doesn't catch you by surprise. You will learn your body's signals in time.

You might be right about the ovulation being what you felt.

If I may pass a word of advice from my own feminine experience to all - I am 52 now - watch your blood sugar. Believe it or not, eating a diet that balances your blood sugar helps the regular production of the feminine hormones, which makes PMS as easy as possible - as well as lowering your chances of becoming diabetic, having "yeast" infections and possibly lowering your chances of cancer and heart attack. I learned the hard way and am a diabetic with a systemic yeast infestation.

Not every woman who starts their period is irregular. Many have it like clock work from the start to the end.

I would say you have a 50/50 shot of being someone who is regular.

My first period was October 20th, 2005. Then my next was December 8th, 2005.

Don't be worried if it doesn't come; unless you're sexually active.

(And the cramps were nothing for me, hopefully you can deal too)

The odds are pretty slim if you ask me!
My friend started her period when she was 12 & hers still don't come reguly & she's 15 now

You may not have one for another year on the other hand you may have one tomorrow!

Stomach cramps don't definately indicate period. Sometimes they're just there for no apparent reason.
