Well I am doing both actually. I stay at home, however, run a daycare in my home. When you work outside of the home, then you maybe not so frustrated when you come home from work as you haven't seen your kids and you may have more patience. Plus your house is getting destroyed all day LOL However, I love to stay at home as I am raising my kids not somebody else. But it is all personal preferance. i think you could be a good mother no matter where you work. Good luck!

It is not the quality of time but the quantity that makes a mother a good mother. My mother was a housewife and I don't have very many fond memories of her doing alot of anything with us. On the other hand, I am a divorced mother of two, own a business, work hard, and have built wonderful fun memories for my children. So I guess it just depends on how much effort each person wants to put into being a good mom, regardless of their work preferences. It has never been easy juggling work and children, but it has been the most the most rewarding and my children would agree.

In my personal experience, I have a mother who worked so hard for me to have a great life! She graduated college, got her Master's Degree when I was a child, had a high position in a very corporate bank but yet was still able to give me the parenting and love that I needed! I never felt neglected by her, actually sometimes I wish I could take a break from her since our family was (and still is) so tight-knit and close! As a daughter, I feel like she has given me many inspirations and showed me opportunities to having a successful life just by seeing first-hand how much she has used her skills and extreme intelligence to get her far. She is now Vice President in a bank, part of a Women's Leadership Forum, and has been in several magazines and newspapers in my area. She has taught me the importance of education, intellectualism, and the empowerment of working women who can have leadership skills in a world where even men still dominate. I wouldn't trade her for anything else.

I find that working women are still unappreciated at times, but mostly particularly by those who are unchanging in their views and who have on idea what it's like to have ambition and still be able to take care of a family!

A working mother has already decided not to manage her life properly. If she wanted something to occupy her time after office hours she should have got a dog or a cat.

Even a part time working mother screws up her children's life. Being a mother is a full time job for an educated woman (4 years of college minimum).

Below is a program to calculate if it is worth for a mom to work.

Money is not everything.

My mother busted her ***, working nights full-time and then always being there for us during the day. The woman spent years with little sleep and no time for herself. There were 6 of us and every one of us will tell you she was always there when we needed her, even though my Dad was a lackluster father at best, we never felt short changed because we knew we were #1 to her. She is my hero!

Sometimes going to work a few days of the week makes a person a better parent. They are more tolerant and patient when they get home.

working women are more independent , i worked 2 jobs at one time and still found time to spend with kids. and at work u interact with other people your age, instead of being stuck in the house with kids all day.
