I think the media's influence on everyone is basically negative. Because 98% of what they report is negative news. War, Death, Terror, Catastrophe, cancer scares, global warming, corruption, recession, etc. I think it contributes remarkably to the negative attitude and sense of hopelessness in this country.

Let me ask you this. When was the last time you read or saw an article that gave you hope of something improving? When was the last time you saw or read an article that was about something that wasn't alarmist in nature? It happens damn few times.

And what's worse, they do no follow up, especially when they've reported it wrong initially. They do no follow up to show how things have improved.

Here's an idea I've had that I offer free of charge to anyone who can make it work. Have a news network or web site that does not offer news about war, terror, or celebrity gossip. Offer stories about interesting, but not necessarily negative in nature. Like how a business has succeeded in doing something that will improve people's lives, etc. Call it "The Rest of the News" or the "The News You Haven't Heard."

What Kevin tells you is a part of the story. Still I think this happens because of the media economics: people have little time to hear what happened now, so it is difficult to talk about things that are more positive as this compete with negative ones that seem "urgent".

But if you are writting about media talk also about web 2.0 where alternative media is taking a huge step forward. For news about achievements of our time go to Just Clap at www.justclap.com, for ecology oriented go to www.hugg.com, etc...

The media are controlled by Zionists, and their purpose is to deceive, to focus undue attention on trivia and on dramatic sideshows (like wars in faraway places), to ignore or obscure the really importent currents in politics and in social reform, and to reverse the public's perception in regard to what is generally true in human nature and in natural law, and what is the occasional exception to those truths. The media do such things so that gentile peoples, who otherwise might be organized, informed and strong, will instead be poorly led, confused and weak.
