This was a remedy from my doctor years ago..we use it as a home treatment and it works for young and old. It is a 2 person job-you'll need to have someone do this for you (and you will need to get a few things...) 1. mix equal part hydrogen peroxide and mineral oil in a small cup and-using a child's medicine syringe-lay on your side and squirt the mixture into your ear 2. wait at least 15 minutes with your head on its side while the mixture breaks down all the wax 2. using warm water and hydrogen peroxide in equal mixture, rinse your ear out at least 5 times using a large medicine syringe ( I hold a small tupperware under my ear to catch the mess) you wont believe what comes out of your ear (and how well you can hear again!)

Irrigate yourself! When you are in the shower, make sure the water is very warm, and put your head to the side and let the water run in there for 10-30 seconds or longer. Then turn your head to the other side to let the water out, and then irrigate the other ear. Do this every day until the earwax lessens. Do not stick anything in your ear; anytime you stick something in your ear, it compacts the ear wax even worse. Irrigating it yourself will losen up the wax and it will come out naturally.

Hydrogen peroxide is inexpensive and painless. Yes, it stings when you put it on cuts, but your ear isn't cut. The peroxide will bubble and lift out pieces of the wax. Pour half a capful into one ear and tip your head so it doesn't run out. Wait about half a minute, then tip your head so it does run out. Rinse your ear out with another half a capful. Wipe it off with a tissue or cotton ball. Repeat for other ear. Do this twice a day for a week. If it hasn't gotten most of the excess wax out by the end of the week, THEN try one of the over-the-counter treatments made specifically for earwax removal. If the peroxide works, you've saved a big bundle of bucks. Peroxide is available for about a dollar a pint, unless you're a good shopper. Then it's about 50c a pint. You'll only use a couple of ounces over the whole week.

A few drops of some liquids you probably have at home can soften your wax.Try hydrogen peroxide, minaral oil.or glycerin for inexpensive cleaning or buy an over-the-counter cleaner such as Debrox or Murine ear Drops.
Add a drop or two of one of the liquids to each ear.Allow the excess to flow out of your ear.The liquid left inside will bubble away at the wax and soften it.Try this for a couple of days.
Once the wax is soft, you are ready to rinse.Fill a bowl of warm water (body temperature).Fill a rubber bulb syringe with water, then, holding your head over the bowl, squirt the water gently in to your ear ear canal. The stream of water should be under very little pressure.Turn your head to the other side and let the water run out.Repeat in your other ear like wise.

try very warm water, as warm as you can stand, dripped into your ears with either a large syringe (no needle!), or maybe a turkey baster. doing this will flush the ear wax out. It may take a number of rinsings this way, depending on amount of buildup.

When we were kids, my mom always used a capful of peroxide in each ear. Also, ear candling works really well!

I agree with the previous posts suggesting hydrogen peroxide. It works.
When the bubbling sound stops, turn your head and let it drain out.
