I think that either that guy was talking either about registry or log files.Registry can be accessed either by using plain Windows Registry Editor or by buying an unnecessary Registry Editor. Log files u have 2 find and figure out how 2 read.

Depends on what kind of format you did. If you did a destructive format back to factory settings then there will be no information left from previous system.
