Because the Simpsons are on everynight.
Start putting the Constitution on everynight and force people to watch and that'll change.
Besides everytime the Simpsons are on tv it's a different experience (or a really funny re-run) but the Constitution is static and boring. Get into psycology if you really want the answer.

Because the education system in this country has been in the hands of liberals since the end of WWII! Teaching kids about 'feelings' and political correctness is more important than teaching them anything having to do with reality.
