I have lived on the central coast of Cali all of my life.
So I have been up to the snow in the mountains when there has been a little on the ground. But other than that, I have never even seen snow actually falling.
Sad huh?

Haliburton, Ontario, Canada winter 1995-1996.
I dont know what the official snowfall count was but the swirls were so high that some local homes had to have them cleaned due to the over-weight concerns. At the time, I made a good living at shovelling it off and even once or twice used a snow blower unit on some of them. I would estimate the depth sometimes at 6 or 7 feet high.

Near Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon, a ski area, the winter's accumulation was about 15 feet, and was still present around the lodge and parking area in late March of 2000 when I was up there skiing.
The largest single snowfall I ever saw was in Rockville, Maryland over January 6-8,1996, when 30 inches fell in a single storm.

I was stationed in Antarctica while in the Coast Guard. I saw many feet of snow there. I also grew up in Minnesota so I was used to winters with a lot of snow fall. Not like Antarctica though..
