I need a new compressor. It will primarily be running a paint gun that operates around 5 CFM. If I buy a compressor at 6-7 CFM, will that be enough ? Will a 26-30 gallon tank be enough, or does only the CFM come into play ?

just to characteristic to the different answer, a great or small tank isn't undesirable or solid. it somewhat is the use. in case you merely use an air nail gun the two gallon tank is vast. in case you regulate tires, you like a miles better tank and heavy duty pump on it. you could no longer effectively connect a number of small tanks on one small compressor for extra volume. definite you get extra volume however the small compressor pump runs perpetually to fill it. merely inspect for what purpose it somewhat is going to likely be used and purchase for that reason. I outfitted my domicile with 2 air nailers on a 2 gallon compressor. i could flow the compressor upstairs and down and all over the domicile. The final 2 nails out of the gun while it replaced into time for the compressor to kick on, I had to hammer down flush.
