A biologist will look at certain patterns with an evolutionary mind set, and will look at all the details that he can find about a particular organism looking for significants that may lead to a doorway to a new dicovery. A Doctor will quickly identify it and compare it to a list of diagnosis and then prescribe a treatment and then move on to the next patient. Not much difference but its almost the same in the comparison of psycologist and psychiatrist.
