The other answers so far are correct. The additional detail you'll want to know is that sperm is not all that comes out. Most of it is infact other fluids produced by other glands. It all gets mixed at the moment of orgasm, right before it gets ejaculated.
Depending on how aroused the guy is, and how long he has been stimulated, the amount of ejaculate will vary considerably. It does not, however, say much about the amount, or quality, of actual sperm cells that are present.
A guy can come a lot, but only have few sperm in his ejaculate.. or a little, but have it be very full of sperm.

Most men experience a lag time between the ability to ejaculate consecutively, and this lag time varies among men. Age also affects the recovery time; younger men typically recover faster than older men. During this refractory period it is difficult or impossible to attain an erection, because the sympathetic nervous system counteracts the effects of the parasympathetic nervous system.

you will hear people say that it takes a man 36 hours for his sperm to mature so have sex every other day...that is not true...men produce sperm constantly and if they are not mature they will not release from the sac. so if you have sex every day it will increase your odds
