You should practice by swinging at those little whiffle golf balls, or roll up pieces of tape and swing at them. Cause they are smaller, your eyes will train for a smaller object, soooo when you step up to the plate, a baseball (or softball) will look 10x bigger and easier to see.

Start with getting your eyes checked out. If that doesn't work, try this little trick for helping pick up the ball, it works pretty well for a lot of my "students". I often find that hitters just stare out towards the pitcher and when the ball comes out of the hand they have a hard time focusing on the ball. I have my kids look at the emblem on the pitcher's hat. Since 90% of all pitchers have a release point that is over-hand or 3/4 the release point is just to the right or left of that spot. When the hand comes up it is easy to switch your focus from the hat emblem to the hand/ball which allows your eyes to track it longer.

Chris l is right. You should practice with small plastic golfball sized balls. If you get used to them a baseball will look like a watermelon coming at ya. Also have the pitcher or pitching machine at about half the regular distance from you. This will help speed up your reaction time for those 90 m.p.h. fastballs. It never hurts to get an eye exam. Good luck to ya.

Yes because if there are signs that your eyes are not right, it can lead to a problem. Happenned to my friend once.

you should get your eyes checked out and if that doesn't help then you should wear that black paint under your eyes like some of the players in the nfl and college football do
