Maths is like eyes for human race to view the untangible. Without maths, we would not have been able to go beyond simple five senses that the nature has provided us to know the world around us.
Some people think they don't need to see beyond the basic senses, and they despise maths. But it's like closing all windows of your house, because you think you don't need to know about the world outside. It might be true, but if you open the windows, you will get so much knowledge that you will never close the windows again in your right mind.

Math is necessary for computing costs, taxes, mileage, measurements, distances, and a long list of other functions. True, it's easier with a calculator, but it's useful to know basic math functions in case you ever find yourself without one.

To me, math is like another language. It is another way to communicate, to solve conflicts, to express myself. I know this sounds weird, but that's how I feel about it. It is a method of problem solving, just like anything or everything else.
Bottome Line: It satisfies my need to solve problems.
