Well, from personal experience with chickens over many years I have to disagree with most of the other answers and say that brown chicken eggs have stronger shells. This is compared to white eggs and brown eggs bought from a store though, so you have to include the fact that commercial chickens are not as well cared for as those raised on a small farm. They are often malnutritioned and crammed in small cages and I doubt they waste much money feeding them the proper amount of oyster shell which is required for a strong healthy shell. The chickens my parents have are fed all they require in the proper amounts so the eggs have very thick hard shells compared to store bought eggs which also have smaller yolks, taste horrible and are very watery when compared to a farm fresh egg. So really it doesnt matter what kind of egg if it is from the store it will be far weaker than the shells of eggs from hand raised laying hens. Now comparing different coloured eggs from home raised chickens; My family gets green, brown and light pinkish eggs from thier different hens and the weakest ones are the pinkish ones.
Also I would like to second the comment that all eggs do not taste the same. Eggs from the store do not taste as good as from home raised chickens and also duck eggs are way better than chicken eggs taste wise. I am also intolerant to chicken eggs they make me sick but duck eggs dont cause the same symptoms.

I live on a farm that has hens (female chickens), of at which, some lay white and some lay brown. I'd say that the browns ones are slightly stronger, but not by much. Also, neither of them will crack the fastest unless they're like 1/2 a day fresh. Anything after that, they don't crack so easily. Oh yeah, and the person that said they all taste the same, is wrong. Duck eggs are bigger, thicker, and tasate sweeter than the average egg.

Color is irrelevant.
The amount of calcium and the health of the bird has much more to do with shell strength.
Recall that birds poisoned with DDT produce fragile eggshells. Bords of the same species producing eggs of the same color but without DDT produce string eggshells.

They are the same for the most part. The color of the eggshell is the type of chicken that laid it. White eggs appear thinner shelled because of the color.

They are both the same. The difference in colour is only that they come from different types of chickens.

They are the same. Coloration is the only difference. They are not better tasting, smelling, healthier or free of anti-biotics or other chemicals.

I don't think color has anything to do with eggshell thickness.
