the term X-mas has been around since I was a kid. it was not considered disrespectful then and it was just an abbreviation, that was easier to use in a small space.
and yes Jesus does talk to me and he would talk to you if you would stop and listen. it is that small quiet voice that you hear when you stop and actually listen.
and yes Jesus does enjoy us celebrating his birthday, He likes the light and the different decorations on Christmas.

No.
X has been a legitimate symbol for Christ for over a thousand years, and is still a valid abbreviation. As pointed out, it is the first Greek letter of Christ's name.
Xmas doesn't take the Christ out of Christmas at all.

No, X is the Greek symbol for Christ. So, basically its the same thing. If X=Christ then Xmas=Christmas. Its just a shorter way of saying Christmas.

I think so. It is cutting Christ out of Christmas. How could that not be disrespectful?

Yes it is disrespectful if you put xmas on Christmas cards. It's suppose to be XMAS and I don't buy it that Christian scholars spelled Christmas like that and Plus, it's in Greek term. We neeed to spell it Christmas living in the USA.

I just had a conference with Him and he said - he's too busy doing his shopping right now to answer this question.
Perhaps you too should get out and do some shopping. The fresh air will be good for you and you will be making a contribution to the economy in addition to making your loved ones happy.
If you are unable to get out - tune in to a shopping network.

It is just an abbreviation which in any way is not meant to be an insult to the name of Christ.
