I need to know these 3 things for an earth science exam

1.How did the great Bonneville Salt Flats form?

2.Describe the stages that dead and decaying plants pass through as they change into anthracite.

3.At the base of a very high cliff of igneous rock, you find several large fragments of rock. Some of these rocks look like masses of dark-colored glass: other rocks consist of large crystals. Assuming that the fragments of rock came from the cliff, which fragments most probably came from the top of the clifff, and which fragments came from the bottom? Explain.

1: The Bonneville Salt Flats are located west of Great Salt Lake near the town of Wendover on the Utah-Nevada border, about 115 miles west of Salt Lake City. The flats are a broad, salt-covered lake bed, and one of the flattest areas on earth. They were formed during the final evaporative stages of Lake Bonneville.
