MLK was a powerful voice in the CRM - but he was not the only voice - it would have happened - but it would have been different!!!

Well I think that if Martin Luther King Jr. never stood up for his rights and protested how whites were treating blacks wrong, then whites would still treat blacks wrong today. Blacks would have limited rights, much of which would not apply to freedom of slavery. I think that besides Martin Luther King Jr., like Rosa Parks or Malcom X, would have not stood their grounds and fought for what was right, then blacks would be in a much diverse society where whites would still be in control and making more laws that would prevent blacks from doing anything. I think that if Martin Luther King Jr. didn't speak up about the mistreatings of blacks, that whites today would still think that blacks would have a lack of knowledge( meaning that blacks wouldn't be smart at all), that blacks wouldn't be wise enough to know that whites were still treating us wrong right in front of us. Yes our world would be a lot different today.

I do not think we would be were we are today. I think we may still be waiting for a voice brave enough to speak out. As it is today, blacks are still prejudiced upon and often live in worse neighborhoods.
I think the bigger question to ask is where would we be today if no one had started slavery or been predjudice????? Then Martin Luther King Jr. Wouldn't of had to fight..............

Segragation could have still existed, but there were others speaking up.
It may have taken longer with out MLK jr, or it could have even been more violent, we will never really know.
And we wouldnt have a three day weekend to remember him by.
