No matter what age you are...being a new mom brings an onslaught of guilt. It's a lot of new things to get used to. i felt guilty when I took my child to daycare and went back to work, even though the daycare is fabulous and gives him lot so love.
You're doing the best you can, and he is well taken care of. That speaks volumes. Let the fact you're a caring mom make you feel better.
It's the people in this world that are uncaring towards others that should feel guilty, not you.

It will soon get better. It's hard to leave them no matter who they are with. But please do stay in school. I quit school when I had my baby at 14 years old as well- I never went back and I regret it because actually; my children need me to have an education. Your son will thank you for it in the long run. When you go to school, go with the knowledge that you are doing what you need to do to secure a future with a decent job to provide for your son. This may help you cope better.

Well I guess its natural to feel detachment from your baby but know that your doing the right thing by going back to school and that if you want your baby to have a good life and good future that you really need to get and education and set a good foundation for them.

Well, I think it's because you're protective of him, and you love him soooo much. Any parent that cares about their child at all will feel this way. Just relax - I'm sure your mom is taking good care of him as you said. And congrats about your baby boy! : )

Oh honey kuddos to you for going back to school! What you are feeling is normal. Every mom goes through that. Like working moms that drop their babies off at day care. It just shows that you love your baby soooo much.

I agree with the above two answers. Don't feel guilty for going back to school. How can you support him if you don't have an education. Someday he will thank you!

you feel guitly because your his mommy...its your instinct. a mothers love is like nothing else. try not to feel guilty, and maybe think of it as a good thing by leaving him with granny so u can go to school and get ur education. oneday he will benefit from it. he'll be thankful he had a mom who finished school and did something with herself.
