Can it charge still? Because if it can, and it still works I don't see the problem. But once you can't charge it anymore and then it becomes dead, then you need a new phone. But hey, Christmas is almost here!

It isn't broken. I've been having the SAME problem. Just be REALLY careful how you charge your phone. Make sure you're not using it while it is charging. You don't actually need the little metal thing...it only holds the charger in place.
Go to the company you got it from (Verizon, TMobile, etc.) and ask them what to do. They can either give you a new phone or a new part or something.
Worse come to worse you can buy a cell battery charger and charge it at night, then put it back in your phone before you leave the house.
I hope that helps.

Well one, try to do whatever you can to fix it, if that doesn't work then try asking someone that had the same problem. If that doesn't work then go by what Lilly said.
