I hear the range is about 30 ft. I have a plasma tv and have my dvd player and satellite receiver in a nearby closet. I'd like to get a Xbox 360 but was wondering if I put it in the closet, if the controller would still work?? hmmm. you must think I'm crazy.

I just tested for you and yes, it does. Mine kept working when shut in the closet, out of the room with the console, and standing outside, playing through the window. I didn't have an effective way to test the range, but my guess is it's about 30-40 feet.

Yes it does. I do something similar. I have my xbox set up in a closet and only have to touch it when i put games in and out. One thing you have to remember it gets to be a pain in the butt when you are recharging controllers. So have a back up or batteries.

There not infra red so you don't need to worry about breaking the beam or anything, it should be fine, I went to the kitchen in my flat with the pad and managed to accidentally unpause project gotham and lose a race to my flatmate...

Ya it does. I would go to the bathroom and take a wireless controller with me. I memorized how to shut the console down. I do it when my brother is playin. He gets pissed.

I think it does, I don't have it but since usually wireless thing-ama-jigs use radio waves and radio waves can go through walls & doors (I know that!!!) probably it can. Just make sure you're not TOO far away.
