You should cover the area (where the coon was and the surrounding area) with baking soda. Wait about an hour then clean the area with a 4:1 mixture of vinegar and lemon juice. That should take care of the odor. If not I would try full power chlorine bleach. You have to kill the germs left behind the smell isn't actually coming from the coon once it has been removed.

buy some arm and hammer baking soda and leave the box in the back of your fridge for a while without opening the fridge door... the smell should come out sooner or later..
