I read in a newspaper article that odd or flashy colours are "in" this year. My daughter picked out purple ornaments for our tree - so we went with a purple colour theme for everything. Purple lights and ribbon. Any other ideas for our purple Christmas tree?

We have 3 trees this year -
Large tree is snow and ice theme. Colors are white lights, white ornaments, blue ornaments, silver ornaments, clear glass ornaments. White ribbon with silver edge. White satin tree skirt. It is very pretty.
Medium sized tree on table in den. It is our "messy" tree. Big colored bulbs with some bubble lights mixed in. Lots of different type ornaments and colorful tinsel.
Small tree done with red and white lights. All of the ornaments are candy canes or red and white balls. We call it our Peppermint tree!

One year I did mine pink and ivory that was really nice because the pink was a rose pink then another year a light blue like sky blue with silver together last year I had a dark blue and green theme but it was shinny not dark colors that was really nice colors together and this year because I just put my tree up I did a purple, silver and gold theme it came out the best of all of them. Hope this helps.

we did just white lights this year our first white lighted tree ever. i always do red and silver ornaments with a sheer silver ribbon around the tree and i put small red bow on it

Well I helped decorate my boyfriend's Christmas tree and the theme of it was red and white. LOL it just happened that way. His family had a lotta crap in a lotta boxes and his sisters and I just randomly picked stuff. :P

My wife has decided to go with the purple theme as well... She went to K-Mart and bought some Martha Stewart stuff... They were unbreakable purple glittery types Xmas balls...

its called in a box. I know its said, but i am in the christmas spirit, its just I don't haave kids, have to work christmas and have you animals that I think might attempt to attack it, not to mention no place to put it. I have way to much clutter.
