I agree with you. I've been my with fiance for 4 years, since a month after I turned 17. We've been through just about everything together. We also have 2 children together. He's the first and only man I have ever loved. We have a kind of long-distance relationship going on now. We had lived together until a month ago. That's when we both decided he should take a job opportunity. This job has better benefits, better pay and all that. The only downfall is that he can only be with me and our girls on weekends. It can be hard but it depends on the couple to make it work. If you don't care enough about your relationship to make it work then of course it's going to fail. Good luck.

I tottally agree with you.I'm a teenager too,and know that adults usually don't believe in our feelings, treating us like we don't know the meaning of love and afection just because we're young. As young people growing up,we have a lot more to learn about relationships than adults, but sometimes, older people just treat our relationships with others with no respect-like it's all a joke.I believe the ability to feel is natural in the human being, and we've been loving others since the day we were born. The ability to bond with other comes in a natural way for the human species,so I don't really understand why adults treat our love relantioships with so much disrespect-it's almost like they're telling us that we don't know how to feel or how to love.Well,I understand it when your parents want to protect you from breaking your heart, but isn't it the same when people want to marry someone(there's always the risk of getting divorced?).

I think that adults can look back on young relationships that they have had, and are just warning all of the younger generations to watch themselves. With all the negativity associated with teens these days, it's not hard to see why! If you are happy and love each other, remember that, and don't listen to people who only want to put you down. Good luck.

Unfortunately, adults have enough experience to understand that these intense relationships as teens rarely survive the changes you go through as you mature into adults.
Also, if you're living in different countries, you have no way of knowing if he's being true to you or not.

yes there is a true thing of true love at a young age. It seems like no one remembers what they were like when they were teens. Its mostly adults and they shouldnt be in adolescent. True love is possible as soon as you realize what love is! Its not just a crush.. did you kno many people find there spouse in middle/high school! Happy holidays

you can't help it if some people are just stupid and jaded... young love does exist and long distance is crummy (i'm suffering from it too), but there's no reason why it won't work if both parties fight for it. good luck!

Since it's your relationship, no one else's opinion should matter but yours and his. You do not need our approval.
