You should leave them in the house together when you are out and let them bond at their own pace. It took about 1 week for my 2 cats to get used to my dog. At first my cats would not come out of my bedroom and my dog would bark hysterically at them if they did but its all good now.

I've had dogs and cats co-exist peacefully (most of the time) all of my life.Just let them get used to each other.Be around them at the start to check on them,you never know what might happen. As far as mice go ,not going to happen they just see them as lunch or a play toy!

as they are pets,you should try to train them like that.cats and dogs learn from their paernts to hate those.but when they are with master,they just learn what they are taught.so you should just train them well.
