very vague question, cause u've not mentioned anything about screen size or application u're going to be running

12.1" notebook running simple wordprocessor or spreadsheets can last upto 5 to 6 hours

17" notebook doing same work can last about 3 hours

watching dvd flicks & multimedia can greatly reduce the hours
intense gaming can literally drain the batteries

> best refer to manual or specifications
i've just given u an outline

This depends upon the system this battery is being used in. Each manufacturer has different specs and power consumption depending upon what is in the machine, and as others have answered, how the power management is set.

If you know how many watts the system consumes you simply divide how many watts it consumes by the above to get an estimate on how it is configured.

If you post the machine that is out there for this machine, I am sure someone will give you the manf estimate, and possibly even their real world experience.

it depends on what your laptop's configurations are, and how you plan to use it. it generally lasts for 1-2 hours. less if you using a powerful graphics card. generally go for the highest cell battery, 12 cell is usually around 6 hours of non-gaming use. for gaming it can be around 3-4. i hope this helps.
