I just posted one question regarding my sister in law's situation and anyone interested in answering that can go back and do so, but to fill in new people- she's developmentally disabled- 21 years old- and has physical disabilities as well and my mother in law nad step father in law are draining her VA and SSI benefits.

The second question that I am asking now is regarding a possibility of child abuse. She strips naked all the time and sometimes will cup her breasts in her hands. Sometimes when she does this, she'll say her step fathers name over and over- my mother in law says she does it to try to get attention or embarrass her step dad because she doesnt like him- I suspect there's more to it. Also, last year she had to have a metal rod put into her back and was told not to bend over for any reason. I went to their house one day to catch my step father in law throwing candy on the floor and instructing my sister in law that if she wanted it she needed to pick it up

This forced her to have to bend over. Who would I contact under the situation and should anyone be contacted?? She's 21 years old- so would CPS be able to do anything for her?

This is a Q & A Forum. It is not designed to be a babysitter. If you don't want your kids reading things like this then maybe you should monitor what they're doing on the computer.

Who has legal custody of her? I would report her situation ASAP to child protective services. it doesn't matter that she is 21, she does not have the mentality to make proper decisions for herself. Obviously she lives where she does so that the family benefits from her income. My 31 year old niece lives in a group home in Ma..Her parents have a legal say in her welfare but do not collect any SS or disability for her, it goes to the state. She(sister in law) needs someone to look after her well being and it doesn't sound like that is happening

Ok, having read both of your questions I have to respond. 1.) why are you posting these VERY serious questions in this room? 2.) why aren't you on the phone with the Department of Children and Family Services RIGHT now?

You should have been looking up information so that you could contact the authorities.. especially if you suspected abuse. For your effort, however, here is a number that is a start: Childhelp USA National Hotline 800-4-A-CHILD.. If I were you, I would get on the phone and get something done before something else happens to that child.

She is your brothers sister-in-legislation however she is NOT yours. The simplest sister in legislation you've got is your brothers spouse....Did you relatively want any individual to inform you this? Ok...nuf stated!

I think the whole family are barking and need counselling ASAP, this is like some sort of sick fantasy. my13 year old daughter read this and asked me some questions about it, she is upset and doesn't understand. I know you need help, but please remember there are kids on this site!!!!
