ok....im not a geek in school...but im not popular at all.....i wear all the clothes that the popular girls wear. im in 8th grade....i want to be popular SO bad...one issue is 2 of the most popular girls in school HATE me....and in sixth grade i was a geek and pretty wierd. but now im pretty and not geeky at all!!! i rele want to b popular and b noticed by the guy i like!!! we are perfect together....how can i get popular and get him to like me?

If you're in the 8th grade, you'll be leaving for highschool soon. You'll have plenty of time to make new impressions then. I understand popularity means attention and what feels like fame but realize that popularity isn't the most essential part of life. Popular doesn't get you a job you love with an amazing salary. Popular doesn't mean you have friends you can trust. Rather then trying so hard, let loose, and just look for a really good friend that you can share good times and memories with. All you really need is one great friend and you'll soon realize popularity isn't the most important thing in the world.

Sweety, do your parents let you watch any teen movies? Well alot of them of course are based on the real world in school.
maybe these 2 popular girls have noticed your not a geek any longer and you pose a threat to them, not even meaning to.'
Your popularity will come with your personality. If your blooming into a young, beautiful young lady, the boys will notice, but don't rush it, and don't crave popularity so much.
20 years from now, those popluar girls could be snubbed, because they might turn into the geeks!
Just be the nice girl you sound to be, to everyone................not just the popular kids. Show all groups the real you, the nice you, the YOU.

You don't have to hang out with the popular girls to be popular. Why not join clubs and do different sports arround your school. Make friends there and soon almost everyone will know you. Whatever you do, do let this popularity thing get to your head. Do start making bad choices just to be popular. Just start with friends and go from there. And with the guy you like, just start to talk to him. If you really are perfect for him then he will realize it. Find things in common and talk about it. Become his friend and that could soon lead to something else!

First off a few things that will be hard to do but I will suggest them anyway...
Move school where no one knows you or where you have friends and then these girls will be pissed that you're the coolest there...also if you have friends there then they can help
make a cool house party and invite lots of people and make them discuss it at school
so those are kinda hard but hey if you can its cool
a few things for your situation that are easier to perform
you said you look pretty now so try and project that and dress to impress (but dont wear stuff you wont normally wear...be yourself)
also attend as many school activities as possible
like dancing , singing (if you can) to be noticed!
join the newspaper and write an article on him!
find out what he likes... attend his games (if he plays a sport) or whatever...

Don't worry: You've got a ton of people on your side! I want to be popular, too, because all of the girls at my school that are popular are pretty, and can afford to buy the cool clothes. Just like you, I'm trying to get a guy to notice me. Being popular really isn't the way to go about it, because your guy will just date you to look cool, because you're popular. Just be affectionate towards him, talk to him like you're one of his friends, and just act normal. Trust me, he'll get more comfortable around you and you'll get what you want.
Also, just be yourself. The only way to be truly popular is to be nice to people, and help them out. Try to become friends with at least 3 new people each week. You'll have a ton of friends, and then you'll feel popular! I guarantee it.

Why do you want to be popular in order for this guy to notice you? Being popular in 8th grade is not the most important event in your life. The fact that people like you for who you are and you are comfortable with yourself and you respect yourself and people around you is popular enough. The only advice that I can give you for this guy you like to notice you is to be yourself. Go up to him one day and introduce yourself. Get to know him and see what this guy is all about. As for the girls that hate you... do NOT waste your time and energy on them because they have way too much time on their hands to hate you that much. I hope my advice helps you. Good luck.

do you not see the so called "popular" people arent popular at all, most people hate them and the only ones who dont are a*se kissers, because they want to be linked with that clique. taggin them as popular just boosts their beliefs that they are above other people, and that other people should respect them even if they themselves dont show respect to other people
just get over it and be yourself, the guy you like should like you for who you are.. not for someone your pretending to be
so what if they hate you, why would you look up to and want to be someone who judges and hates somebody just cause they care about their education and act abit weird.. and hey WEIRD is alot better than being an average air head most so called "popular" people are..

girl first of all everyone is popular in their own way so don't stress just be yourself and forget about them they don't know what kind of friend they are missing.And just hang out with the boy get to know each other and if he gives you signs that he likes you ask him out if not then keep trying P.S. i know how you feel.
