is it dangerous to smell burned plastic when pregnant?my mother in law put a plastic bowl in the oven covered with a plastic bag but she turned on the oven by mistake.we only noticed it when we started to smell it and the fumes were already in the house.i was exposed to it for like 15 minutes.how long do the fumes usually stay in the house if the windows are opened?and do you think that coulded do any harm to the baby.i am 39 weeks pregnant

it's probably not a big deal unless you make a habit of it or have symptoms that continue after everything is fixed. 15 minutes is not a big deal and it is probably not as bad as a lot of things that plenty of pregnant women do.
also, its not something that can be undone. It's not like you could go to the doctor and be like, 'i inhaled smoke,' and he would just give you a pill for that. it is what it is, but it is probably nothing.
i mean, really, there's people that smoke like chimneys for 9 months and have healthy babies - not that i'd recommend that, but keep your 15 minutes in perspective

I think that you will be alright. There are toxins in the air everywhere we go and most of the time we can't even smell them. Your babies lungs are already developed and ready to go if you went into labour know. It is not like yuo stood there smelling it for hours

You should call your doctor if you're scared. Especially with you being so far along.

yea it is so dont go close to it and if the house is on fire
get the heck out of there oh yea and keep the baby away from
the stove the stove can kill a baby
