i would like to replace it preferably cheaply and with things you can finds around the house

They are sold at Futureshop and you can have them ship it to you.

You can't replace it with something from around the house. A coat hanger might work on a car, but it won't work as a wi-fi antenna.

You didn't say what kind of NIC or router it was. But most of the time it's just as cheap to buy a new NIC. Even if it's more expensive, you'd probably have to order the antenna and wait up to a week for it to arrive. If you buy a new NIC, you can be up and running in a few minutes.

Depends completely on the hardware its attached to. Do you mean the antenna attached to your router?? Or your adapter?? The router is much more likely to have a replaceable antenna than the adapter attached to your machine but both are possible. Check the documentation or the manufacturer web site for your particular situation.
