Not trying to gross anyone out, but have been having this problem, where I am slightly wet down there, almost all the time. It is kind of annoying, but my options for fixing the problem are few. It has nothing to do with cleanliness, I take 2 showers a day unless I don't have time to, then I only take one. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing, my mom is going through menopause and she tells me its so dry down there that it is painful sometimes. I have already tried the obvious thing, which would be to use pantiliners, but I usually avoid them because it ends up chafing and being sore down there. I have heard that it is bad to be even slightly wet all the time for risk of infection, but I don't know if its true or not. Is there anything I can do to stop the problem, or is it really not a problem at all? Any womanly advice will be very appreciated, thanks!

This is typical monthly vaginal discharge (which is there to cleanse the vaginal canal as well as to moisten your tender skin). If you're wearing any type of underwear other than 100% cotton, then you'll have a bigger "moistness" problem, because anything other than cotton is not as absorbent. Feminine moisture is PERFECTLY normal and is not unhealthy by any means, especially if you keep yourself clean otherwise. Go to the bathroom more often and wipe away the excess with TP if it is REALLY bothersome. Avoid the panty liners unless you REALLY need them, because your body can't breathe naturally, and you then might run the risk of unhealthy bacteria gathering.

I started having something like this when I got my first period. In my experience I wouldn't say it is a big problem. What happens with me is about two weeks before I would be getting my menstrual cycle, liquid would be coming out (more than usual). I asked a bunch of gynecologists if it was a problem and they told me as long as its not a weird texture and doesn't have a weird smell to it, its nothing to be worried about. What I do is i carry baby wipes with all the time and once in a while (for hygiene as well) I would wipe myself. That helps me.
Since every woman's body reacts differently to different things, the baby wipes might work for me but not for you. If your really worried, I would recommend to call your gynecologist and ask or when your going for a check-up mention it to her or him.
Hope everything goes well.

I have the same problem. Mine is due to years of not going to the restroom when my body was telling me to. My bladder is now weak and Im only 26! I only drip a little but it is still very depressing. Anyway, my mom told me to try using deoderant on my underwear because it would absorb and it has worked good for me. I feel dry and clean and until I find another remedy to this problem than I will just keep doing it this way.

Check to see if the dampness has a urine smell, It could be the beginning of a bladder problem. Or if there is a whiteish or yellowish color to it, it could be a yeast infection starting. I would start out with switching to all cotton underwear, it allows you to breath a little and synthetics don't. If you've gained weight It could just be sweat. Good luck

i hv the same problem esp when i m ovulating. On my wet days, pantiliners are a must hv.. nvr got chaffing.. remember change your pantiliner every 3-4 hr cos it does breed bacteria.
chinese physicians believe in striking a yin & yang balance. vaginal discharge could be due to consumption to much yin "cooling" elements like tea, cold drinks etc...

You may have a yeast infection. Look up the signs of a yeast infection and that will help point you in the right direction. If you still aren't sure, it won't hurt you to take the yeast infection medicine anyways!
Good luck!

Check with your gyno. It's probably hormones unless there is an odor to the discharge which can signal an infection.

there could be a medical problem causing it. see your doctor and explain what you have tried and the effects. I would also suggest avoiding nylon or silky panties. they keep the heat in and can contribute to infections. whenever possible don't wear any so your body can get air. good luck.

It sounds like you can talk to your mom about personal stuff.
Why don't you ask her, if she had a similar problem @ your age & what she did about it.
I would also recommend going for a check-up with your doc.
You want to make sure nothing else is going on with your body.
It probably is hormone related but I would be just guessing.
