if a hospital makes a mistake on patient care are they obligated to tell the family members? or do they keep it quiet.
even if the mistake made the patient loose their life or kept the patient in a vegetative state?

actually its illegal to not tell that they did it, i dont no WHY(sarcasm)i know someone whos grandparent died of malpractise,the hospital was quit,then when they dug it up,they were able to sue them for alot more

I don't know if they are obligated to tell anyone that they caused the mistake. However, if the patients family does discover that the hospital covered it up or didn't tell than its going to look very bad in front of a jury so they could award huge damages.
