If the default WEP key does not work any longer, you card may be having issues with the encryption. It would be best to change your default WEP to a customized WEP. You can do this by accessing your 2WIRE's configuration page by doing the following:
Note: You can use another computer that is currently connected to the 2WIRE or you can also connect your wireless computer using an ethernet cable to have access to the modem.
1. On the address bar on Internet Explorer, type in the following:
gateway.2wire.net/management
Note: You will be asked for a SYSTEM PASSWORD. If you do not know the system password, you can just click on . It should give you a hint.
2. Click under Section.
3. On the page, below section, select the option

It is not listed as a WEP # . Its just a line of about 8 numbers. plug them in, and you will be fine. If your modem/router has the sticker on it , it has the number on it as well. That is where you will find the WEP#. There is no way i know of to look each router number up, online. If you cant' get it to work, you can get another one on EBAY for cheap!

?HUH? A wep key has to be created, if you forgot it simply reset the router to factory default by pressing in the reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds. Now you will have to reset everything from scratch using the default gateway for the router and IE.

There will be an 800 number somewhere in your paperwork for your router. Call them, or look up their website, for help in finding the correct WEP key. It isn't on your box, or on the bottom of the equipment.
