Working with a slow computer can be time consuming as programs/ applications take a long time to start. This problem is more pronounced in computers which have been used for 6 or more months. More information at http://fixit.in/slowcomputer.html

this is your problem fist you was running XP Pro now your running XP Home, big difference between the two Op systems, your saying that you have 382.48 of ram? question mark here,
then you say ( available physical memory 181.80.

Vertual Memory 1.96gb this is space on the hard drive windows uses for a swop file, and keeps your restore files data in
I would say your problem is your memory window is not seeing all the memory, either some is not working and it is only see part of it... now to run windows xp you need at least 256mg physical memory

I would swop out the memory
next your 750mhz processor is not fast enough ( i know what your going to say,) I ran windows before) yes you did but not window xp home version, it was xp Pro version which by the way is more powerful than the cut down home version XP home version $110.00 Xp Pro version 199.00
