If it is still not working (I just tried and it's up) check your firewall and make sure that site isn't blocked. You can also check your browser setting.
These settings are if different places depending on the software involved so just look around.
As an extra go to Start-->My Computer-->C: drive and then to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\e t c (no spaces in e t c, i had to add'em for it to display properly) and find the HOSTS file (or just use search) and check for a listing (Open in NotePad) for orkut and remove it. This will make XP try the DNS servers for the IP address and rewrite it to the HOSTS file.

If you can view other sites, the website is down. Just wait for it to come back up.
