In America, who gets the power? The rich? The experienced? The intelligent?
Who SHOULD get the power?

Power is such as an open topic. For example we have all types of power We have militery power, like you mentioned the rich defintely hold a certian amount of power, congress holds power to make laws, the supreme court has power to interpet those laws. Not one entity should hold all of the power, but it should be distributed, that way no one gets too powerful.

The people should have the power.Call me a dumb foreigner but I thought that was what America was about.
Seems to me the role of money is too big in the American political system
If the American people don't have the power now it's the duty and their God given right of all Americans to stand up and take the power.I believe in what Clinton said that there is nothing wrong with America what can't be cured with what's right with America

A wise man once said that who you feel should get power is more a reflection of self than a true measure of who should get power. The intellectuals feel they should rule, the women feel they should rule, the rich feel they should rule, and so on. The truth is there is no such thing as absolute power in America, everyone has to pay the piper, as they say. We are nation of power hungry individuals, and like vultures any decision that causes a fatal blow will tear you apart. The power has gotten so divided that really any decision on anyones part, politically, will get them torn apart.

The rich influence the military, media, corporate, and religous leaders. These same people always seem to be the ones we elect for government office.

But MONEY talks all over the world. My trip to Italy the people are just as money hungry there than here.
So the evil people of the US as you are claiming them to be are not the only offenders/
