ok, so some1 on this website that go to often (its a forum) is changing and deleting all these posts to turn the people agaisnt each other, how do i stop/catch him?



P.S. he is not a moderter.

P.S.S. there was a guy who's username was scy and he deleted all of our posts like a month ago, but banned his ip address, could it still be him?

if you have his IP address, you can track it down to its ISP but not further.
http://www.ripe.net/
enter the IP address on the right upper corner "Ripe Database Search". compare the IP with your own, it's just indicated above the entry field.

To catch a hacker you yourself must be a hacker. IP banning will deter an average user, but not a hacker. Get a professional security whiz-kid or learn to be one yourself.

1. stop the acces to your site
2. fix your security holes first
3. change all passwords and acceses
4. enable the prevention of such things

a hacker cannot be caught so easily ... but in your case I dont think is a hacker but more an unauthorized user

its close to impossible given modern techniques infact its so easy to forge ip addresses that hackers are now more than ever as close to immune as anyone can be

I think that's impossible. Or nearly impossible. I for myself don't know a way. But you could try to protect the server better.
