I love Film Noir from the 1940s and 50s. I also have a fondness for the British "Kitchen Sink" films of the late 50's - early 60's, like "Saturday Night And Sunday Morning" and "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner". The Beatles's first firm, "A Hard Days Night" had elements of this style as well.
