Ask her how she would feel if you did the same thing. It is a form of cheating on your spouse. She needs to be open and honest with you.

How is she hiding him if you know about him? It sounds like you have a pretty lousy relationship if you're snooping and she's (possibly) cheating. What proof do you have that he's more than a friend? Ultimately, you've apparently gotten yourself in between a rock and a hard place here. Confront her and she'll know you've been snooping (and you might find out he's really nothing to you). Don't confront her and she could be cheating. Good lucky buddy.

If she's hiding it, then she is holding part of herself separate from you and your relationship. If she is talking to this fellow about things she won't share with you then she is transferring the intimacy that should be in your relationship to an outside party, which is cheating, even though it may not (yet) be physical. Emotional intimacy is the normal precursor to physical contact for cheaters. They feel they are having their emotional needs met elsewhere.

You've got to have a frank, open, non-accusatory discussion with her about your relationship and whether or not you want to save it and what you're willing to do about it.

Good luck!

If your wife is hiding anything >period<... it's not a good sign. You need to confront her with it and ask her to stop. You also need to re-evaluate your marriage and the situation with your wife. She's obviously experiencing some kind of void in your marriage, and is looking elsewhere to get it filled. You shouldn't be asking how you should be feeling about it, you should be asking,.. how you can fix the void in your marriage.

Your wife is having an online affair -- yes, an affair. I lost my wife to one of these. One day she just upped and left. Treat it as you would if you walked in on her compromised with her lover. It hurts beyond words, but this is the truth my friend. I wish you the best.

Think of it this way. Your wife has thoughts for another man. Here heart is swaying his way. She has impure thoughts as well. She's cheating on you. Maybe not physically, yet but she is. Treat it that way. Take it from someone that had this happen to her too.

There shouldn't be anything hidden in a marriage. But I also think you should always try to work on any problems, whatever they might be. People give up on marriage way too easily these days.
