Got to say that the best character is Jean Luc Picard by Patrick Stewart because in the films he gets really angry, has passion, I can relate to him and he is the romantic older guy with British reserve (Even though he is suppose to be a French guy) Also he has a cool car (Nemesis).

There is this whole air about him that makes the character cool.

BEN SISKO!

He's the most human of all the Captains, prone to the troubles that face every man, and therefore the one who represents us in the present the best. Ironic, for a man who was destined to fulfill god-like duties for the Prophets. He's a man with the strongest family values of any Trek character. He has the willingness to break his own moral code to save the quadrant. He reflects all our emotional struggles to cope with events that do not unfold as we may have hoped.

Simply, he goes beyond just being a character like Kirk and Picard; he is the embodiment of humanity in a Star Trek universe who's intent is to display the human condition.

I have always loved UHURA.Loved the name in a time when very few black faces were seen on telly especially with an important role. "Uhura" comes from the Swahili word Uhuru, which means "freedom". This is possibly an allusion on Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry's part to the Uhuru African Socialist movement founded by Tanzanian leader Julius Nyerere, which attracted some U.S. citizens' attention during the 1960s.The character is also notable for her involvement in the first televised interracial kiss on United States television.
I also love the time she fainted and Kirk picked her up and you could see her knockers- EDITED SORRY KNICKERS!- through her tights. I never reached for the record button on my TV so fast.

Probably Picard, mainly due to Patrick Stewart's performance, which has gravitas, charisma, and generally a higher standard of acting ever seen in Trek at that point and never topped yet.

Oooooh.... Ok,
The original series: Chekov. Funny and a bit stupid.
Next Generation: Geordie or Data.
DS9: Julien Bashir
Voyager: Neelix
Enterprise: Johnathan Archer

and covering most of them, Q. He brings so much humour and challenges to the stories!

The unnamed security guys who always beam down with the landing party on the old series. You always knew they were going to die.

Let's have a moment of silence for the red shirts who got snuffed in the first 10 minutes of the episode.

In the origanal series - Captain Kirk - he's gorgeous!

I also like Captain Janeway in Voyager as she is a strong personality and always in control of the situation (well almost - but she gets there in the end).
