There was too much ice at the bottom of the windshield when my wife turned them off. Since that time they stop straight up when turned off. Three dealers gave three different possible fixes. Since this was fixed already under warranty 4 years ago I wonder if there isn't a common fix as this can't be an isolated incident.

I have since investigated and found out the bracket stop was bent and after straightening works great again.

The crank arm is bent. This part is only about $10 or $15 dollars but is not easy to replace. I have had this happen twice on an 02 impala and it cost me about $180 to fix each time.

first of all you should allways make sure the ice is removed, the curcut board inside the wiper moter has to be cleaned, take off the negative battery cable then take off the wiper motor cover then get a little wire brush[ tooth brush size ] and carfully clean the circut board and spray onto a rag some wd40 or crc and wipe the board clean put back on your negative battery cable and give it a try. dont forget to reset your radio good luck

It sounds like you need a new transmission for your wiper motor. This is a common problem for newer Chevy vehicles. Good Luck

try pulling the left side arm off, turn the wipers on and let them park, then put the wiper arm back on in the parked position where it should be.
