No. The PSOne did everything the Playstation did and samething here. The SlimPS2 does everything a regular PS2 does, which does not include playing PS3 games.

I beleive the answer to your question is no. Sony makes their playstation models BACKWARD compatible, meaning that you can play old games on the most updated system but not the other way around. So the PS3 will play PS2 games. The PS2 slim is just a "new and improved" PS2 (on a diet).

No, the only thing that will play PS3 games is the PS3.

nope !!it only plays PS1&PS2 games.(WHAT A BUMMER)
incase u were thinkin' o' buyin' a PS2 I suggest a PS3 would be a better choice as there is a wider range of games on it.

no it will play ps1 and ps2 games only. the ps3 will play ps1, ps2, and ps3 games.

no it does not. it does not feature the hardware of the ps3. it is only a physically modified version. however new it may be.
