I have mine done, it only hurts for a minute though. most likely the person doing it will tell you to close your eyes and hold your breath. I have my belly button and just got my nosed peirced and i would say that getting the side of my nose peirced hurt a little bit more, I dunno.. I guess it just depends on your pain tolerance. Most important though... make sure you are getting this peircing in a clean atmosphere, and read up on how to clean it before you get it done. The belly button peircing will be sore for a few weeks. Make sure you were some low raised pants for awhile so its not rubbing against the new open sore.. You should go for it, you will love it... I got mine done 5 months ago and I love mine, the guys most deffinitly love it as well... Well good luck and just think, it will all be worth it in the end!!!

I had it done about 6 years ago and I was a little buzzed from wine before I had it done...It was over pretty fast..the worst part was the healing stage..It took almost a year to heal lots of pain and you have to keep it extremely clean constantly or it will get infected. If i had to do it over again I would.

It wasn't bad at all. Getting my nose pierced was worse.
But I think my piercer was drunk or high on the job b/c it was crooked all to hell. I left it in but eventually had to take it out when I got preggo. I really liked it, though, and if my hubby would let me prob have it done again.

i got mine in 1991, you couldnt get it done at any piecing stand then so i had to go to a place in hollywood that seemed way more professional than any place ive seen today. they did it very deep, which is good, but it took about a year to completely heal. i held a shotglass of peroxide or betadine over it everyday day for a long time. once it healed its never givin me any problems, it even made it through a pregnancy.

It hurt far less getting it done than having the top part (cartilage) of my ear done....
I took very good care not to let it get infected, so I had no problems.
I love it. Except when it occasionally gets caught on the strings of my scrub pants. OUCH! LOL!!

i pierced one before for a friend. she told me what and how to do it and there was no pain or blood. it was pretty cool.
