Given the recent case in Wales where a brainless chimp Chav, murdered an innocent family man (and got just 2 years inside for it). I would like to know the general view on what you all think of the way the UK deals with Anti Social Behaviour. Is the Legal system effective or does it merely "soft soap" the issue without actually dealing with it?

The ASBO seems to be seen as some kind of badge of honour - its a complete waste of time. Lock the little bastards up and throw away the key.

If the ASBO don't do the business then 10 lashings of the Birch followed by a sea salt rub may do the trick, In fact give them 5 lashings anyway so they know what to expect if they should break the conditions of the ASBO, we are far too soft on the out of control youths of today and need to bring back stricter laws and more disiplinary powers to police and teachers as some parents seem to have lost all control/interest in their teenagers

I'm considering selling fake ASBO orders to kids, so they can get the badge of respect without speaking to the Police.
Chavs should be put in the military for a few years until they've grown out of it.

In order to make ASBOs effective they need to be enforced correctly. If yobs think of them as a "badge of honour" then they are not causing the yobs to think seriously about why their behaviour is not acceptable to the rest of us in society.
We should use the ASBO as a last warning that precedes proper punishment, either confinement or enforced public labour. Wouldn't be so much of a thing to brag about then, would it?

ASBOS here were i live are every were and the youths that have them are going around acting worse
i can not believe them asbos help in anyway apart from give the offender who has it a better reputation round his friends

Execution is the only answer. Anyone seen in a tracksuit with a baseball cap should be birched on the spot. On the spot birchings would save us all from having to tolerate these scrotes. I hate chavs and they are on the increase. They are allowed to wander the streets and kill people in their own homes and all that is ever done is a bit of wrist slapping. It's time it came to a stop.

Legal system, i'm sure i've heard of that before.....
Get rid of the ASBO, bring in long term jail punishments, or for those who are dangerous threat to society, i've always been in favour of the death sentence, as long as there is INCONTROVERTIBLE evidence.
And get rid of the "he killed two people but was good inside so lets halve his sentence rule". That's a waste of money and time

No it isn't at all!
These neanderthals wear ASBO's like a badge of honour!!
Lock them up in prison, if its too crowded in there tuff ****! it's not meant to be a holiday camp. Prison should be a deterrent so i don't want to hear about human rights!! Once they are warm and fed and have sanitary conditions and the basics, i don't want to hear it!!!

speaking personally as a victim of crime, and attempted crime and as someone who keeps an eye out for everyone i personally want to put a bullet through the heads off all so-called petty criminals heads. car thieves burgulars muggers internet scam "artists" and grafitti "artists". an asbo is just a handshake from the cops to total and utter scum. and they can claim benefits as well without getting of their ***'es to work. i wonder how long them 2 young lads will serve for killing that fella in the underground, or the female cops killers.

ASBO,S DONT WORK but maby seeing we are short of soldiers we could start up subscription again not to send them to war but to show them how to behave well most of them will collect dole money so why not make them work for it ???? also cheaper than keeping them in jail when they start to go up the ladder to other things but our goody good shoes of people would be up in arms SO HOW CARES ABOUT THE MAJORITY IN THIS COUNTRY or maby we should send them to some kind of camp in deepest Africa digging water wells
